I’ve uploaded my first post about skincare ( if you have not checked it out yet, feel free to go have a look ) and I’ve decided to post a review on my current fav foundation and concealer.
I’ve been using the Maybelline foundation, along with the concealer and pressed powder for the past 2 – 3 months and I am absolutely obsessed to see how well they all work together. I’m in the shade 220 for the foundation and pressed powder and shade 20 for the concealer. My skin is a bit on the oily side around my T – zone and dry on the surrounding areas of my face so I’ll to say I have combination skin. This works well for me because its more on the natural side but still has good coverage while feeling super lightweight on the skin.
Their shade range includes a variety of different undertones and many shade selections at an affordable price. All three products range from R100 – R120 each depending on the store, which is such a bargain. I would say that its best applied with a beauty blender ( I highly recommend the Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge, you can purchase it at Clicks for R135 ) which applies smoothly and not looking cakey whatsoever. I use about 1 to 2 drops but you can apply more for a more full coverage. My foundation stays in place and does not get oily around my T-zone because its matte and poreless which I love.
I highly recommend this combo because it works well in pictures (No flashback) and looks beautiful on the skin throughout the day. You can purchase them at Dischem, Clicks and online at Superbalist, Zando and Takealot.
